NGIF’s Ongoing Support Helps Ekona Advance Clean Hydrogen and Carbon Black Innovation

At Ekona Power, we know that building a cleaner energy future takes more than technology, it takes strong partnerships. That’s why we’re proud to highlight the ongoing support of NGIF, including NGIF Accelerator’s recent $180,300 funding contribution to advance our methane pyrolysis technology platform.

This project, Ekona’s third collaboration with NGIF Accelerator, enables the completion of the detailed engineering design and site preparation for a one-ton-per-day demonstration plant at an industrial customer site. Ekona is currently conducting testing and validation of our reactor platform at our Burnaby pilot facility to confirm performance targets before advancing our technology into the field.

NGIF’s investment reflects its commitment to accelerating lower-emission solutions that deliver real value and impact across the natural gas and hydrogen sectors. The Industry Grants program and its focus on de-risking technologies through field trials and pilots are part of NGIF’s integrated model of industry validation, customer creation, and technology commercialization.
